Xi Jinping greets police force, calls for more efforts against terrorism

Chinese President Xi Jinping has visited the Special Police College of China People’s Armed Police Force and greeted the officers and soldiers there.

Xi Jinping presented awards at a ceremony for an elite anti-terrorism group on Wednesday. He emphasized the importance of the nation’s top-level police group and urged the team to have strict management and hard training courses to contribute more to the country’s fight against terrorism. The president also watched the special police’s training performance.

The Special Police College was originally established as an anti-aircraft hijacking force in 1982. A number of police forces from the college have served for the country in maintaining stability in past years.
