Full coverage: Malaysia Airlines Plane Bound for Beijing Goes Missing

It's been 35 days since the Beijing-bound jetliner disappeared after taking off from Kuala Lumpur, with 239 people on-board. The Joint Agency Coordination Center in Perth says the search area for Friday has been narrowed to about 46,700 square kilometers. The center of the area is some 2,300 kilometers northwest of Perth.

Twelve military aircraft, three civil aircraft and 13 ships are being deployed. Planes are still scanning the ocean for possible debris.

A Chinese military Ilyushin IL-76 took off from Perth International Airport early this morning. For the past week, it's been the first plane out.

The weather forecast for today is 10-15 knots southerly winds with isolated showers, seas swells of 1 to 1.5 meters and visibility of five kilometers in showers.

Yesterday there were no sightings reported by search aircraft or objects recovered by ships.
