Full coverage: Malaysia Airlines Plane Bound for Beijing Goes Missing

Malaysia has given a press conference regarding the missing flight MH370. Acting transportation Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak is planning a visit to China at the end of May.

He said during the visit, the Prime Minister will discuss the next phase of search operation with the Chinese officials, including the asset to be deployed. Hishammuddin said China, Australia, and Malaysia had agreed to make arrangements for the relatives of passengers on-board to Perth once the resting place of the MH370 is confirmed.

The minister also said the international investigation team already promised that the investigation will by conducted by an independent, competent and credible team in accordance with relevant international convention.
