Portugal beat Ghana 2-1 but both eliminated from Group G

In the 30th minute, Ghana defender John Boye sent a Miguel Veloso cross into the back of his own net as he swiped at the ball and sent it towards the top corner. The own goal gave Portugal a 1-0 lead at halftime. Later in the Second half, Ghana levelled in the 57th minute as Forward Asamoah Gyan scored a goal assisted by defender Kwadwo Asamoah. But in the 80th minute, Portugal gained another point with a shot by Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, the victory wasn’t enough to lift Portugal into the next round as the Americans, who are also in Group G, went through on goal difference.
