Its a case of good news and bad news for Brazil atthe world cup. The samba boys are through to the semifinal with a two-one win over Colombia but they will be missing star striker Neymar for the rest of the tournament after he suffered a back injury late in their win.

Luis Felipe Scolari's team will meet Germany in the last four on Tuesday - the Germans knocked out France.

Neymar proved why he is so important to the host nation after only seven minutes, swinging in a corner to find Thiago Silva. The Brazilian captain tapped it in from close range to recoease the pressure and gfive Brazil the lead.

In the 69th minute, David Luiz doubled the tally with a 30-metre free kick. It was 2-0 for Brazil. Ten minutes from time, Rodriguez pulled one back with a penalty to ignite Colombian hopes, and although Brazil went on to win. Neymar was carried off late on after being fouled by Juan Zuniga, a two one victory but marred but that injury to Neymar.
