Premier Li: measures achieve positive progress

07-17-2014 00:26 BJT

Premier Li Keqiang chaired a State Council executive meeting on Wednesday, a quarterly analysis of the implementation of 2014's economic reforms.

The State Council says that eight investigation teams were dispatched to 43 provinces, cities and public agencies to check on how the entities were implementing the central government’s policies.

Li says that all of the measures have achieved positive progress in local departments, but downward pressures should not be ignored.

The meeting noted that the central government will pay more attention to achieving its goals for economic and social development in 2014 in order to maintain stable growth and provide improved public services and better support China’s rural and small enterprises.
