Aspiring singers, this could be your chance! China Central Television's variety channel, CCTV 3, is launching a new original music show entitled "Bring'em Back". The show, which blends creative performances with an interactive audience, promises to be a hit.

The new show "Bring'em Back", is known as "Perfect star - as the curtain lifts" in Chinese.

Dozens of contestants will compete against one another to try and convince the audience that THEY are the best singer. The winner will then be given every singer's dream.

"We will hold a personal concert especially for the winner of this season," Yin Xiaowei, Chief director said.

"Bring'em Back" will have 36 songs that have never been heard before. Contestants will be required to give creative performances if they want to progress through to the next round.

After a minute and a half of singing, the show enters the "back to the stage" section. At this point, contestants are only allowed back on stage if they receive at least 80 percent of the votes from the audience. If their score falls below that, they are eliminated.

"With this program we want to be able to select a comprehensive, all-round musician who can even perform on the international stage. The artist must be creative, deductive and expressive - this is the goal of 'Bring'em Back'," Yin said.

Eventually, there will be only four contestants left competing for the top spot.

Only one will rise above the rest, after a series of musical contests including musicals and performing original songs. The first program will air on July 26th.
