BERLIN, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Joachim Loew will see out his contract and lead Germany into the EURO 2016, the coach said in an interview with DFB on Wednesday.

German media had speculated that Loew would retire after steering Germany to their fourth World Cup title in Brazil.

However, Loew explained in an interview with the DFB that he would lead the team to the EURO 2016 in France.

"At this moment I can't think of anything better than continuing my work with this team and to lead them to the EURO 2016 in France. I am as motivated as I was at the first day at the DFB. We celebrated a huge success in Brazil but yet there are still other goals we want to achieve," said Loew.

Besides that Loew denied any thoughts of a retirement after ten years as Germany coach: "I have never thought that for a second. I have not renewed my contract until 2016 with the DFB to retire prematurely."

Loew replaced Jurgen Klinsmann as Germany's head coach after the World Cup in 2006.
