Comic book collectors will soon get a rare opportunity to buy publications directly from Batman co-creator Bob Kane's personal collection, as his library goes up for auction in New York.

A rare auction in New York. These were Bob Kane's personal copies of the first appearances of Batman in Detective Comics 27 and Batman number one. They're estimated to fetch nearly 300,000 US dollars each at the auction.

The Batman number 1 and the Detective number 27 will be on display at Warner Brothers Studios for the 75th Anniversary Celebration of Batman. The sale, which the company holds four times a year, also includes a rare Hulk number one issue.

Zurzolo estimates the lot to go for 300,000 dollars. Bidding for the sale, which also includes art work and lower priced items, will end on August 29th.
