Kerry: we are ready to support a new and inclusive Iraqi gov't

US Secretary of State John Kerry and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel have just held a news conference in Sydney, following the annual Australia-United States Ministerial Consultation or AUSMIN talks with their Australian counterparts.

They discussed a wide range of issues, Kerry congratulated the nomination of a new Iraqi Prime Minister. He also said that the US hoped that a new government could be formed as soon as possible, and the US will stand with the Iraqi people during this transition period.

"US does stand ready to support a new and inclusive Iraqi government in fight against ISIL, we are prepared to consider additional political, economic support as Iraq ready to get a new government. Let me be very clear, we always wanted a inclusive government, that represent the Sunnis, Kurds and the minorities that is the goal." Said John Kerry, US Secretary of State.
