In Africa, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria are the worst affected countries by the killer virus, with the death toll at over 1,000. The UN health agency says that of 1,848 suspected or confirmed cases, 1,013 people have died so far.

West African nations are struggling to control both the deadly outbreak and the fear surrounding the contagion. Guinea-Bissau has announced a temporary closing of its border with Guinea.

Meanwhile,World Health Organization has declared it ethical to use untested drugs and vaccines in the Ebola outbreak, although the tiny supply of one experimental treatment has been depleted and it could be many months until more is available.
