Daniel Radcliffe has been stepping out in London's Leicester Square for the premiere of his new film 'What If.'

It's another feather in the cap of the 25-year-old actor, who says it's been his goal since moving on from Potter to "try as many different things" as he can.

"I think I am trying to like, as you say, do as many different things as I can and really try and find as much variety as I can in the roles I am getting. The people for me whose careers I admire are the people who have an incredibly varied and diverse bodies of work. That's kind of what I always aspire to myself," he said.

And, it seems, he's not afraid to tackle any genre - he even jokes that a buddy cop movie could one day be in the cards.

"I don't know, yeah, if one comes along I would do. I am really looking forward to seeing that movie that is coming out soon which is called 'Let's Be Cops.' That looks awesome. But I would definitely do a buddy cop movie. I suggested in the past that me and Dwayne Johnson should do a buddy cop movie together. I think the world is ready for that," he said.

As for comedy acting, Radcliffe says he found it "quite easy", although the movie brought different challenges. But he says he prefers making people laugh, rather than making them cry. In "What If" he stars alongside Zoe Kazan.

"No, we didn't actually have a chemistry reading, we got really lucky and we had, I think, I hope good chemistry straight away. So we got kind of lucky but me and Zoe got on really well. And, as I said, we're very similar people and so I think that helped for the film," he said.

"What If" is released in the UK on August 20th.
