Jessica Alba leads a busy life that revolves around being a mother, attending a modeling photo shoot, promoting her latest action film or running her business The Honest Company.

Now, she returns as Nancy Callahan in "Nancy's Last Dance," with new moves in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For."

In this sequel, Nancy is driven insane by grief and rage and is determined to get revenge in the wake of John Hartigan's suicide.

Alba talked about how this experience was different for her, eight years later.

"I mean the character was completely different then she was in the first one. I was much more familiar with this style of filming on green screen and I'm much more mature frankly when I played Nancy again this time around. So I feel like I brought fearlessness to the performance that I didn't quite have the first time but it worked for the first one because she was so sweet and she was so hopeful and so naive," Alba said.

The 33 year-old actress is also on the cover of Maxim magazine's September issue, sprawled over large rocks near the ocean. While driving on busy boulevards, you'll find billboards featuring Alba for Zico coconut water or her lead role in the second Sin City film.

The actress co-founded The Honest Company, which has a line of non-toxic, eco-friendly products. The company is projected to bring in US$100 million this year. As the boss, Alba admits she does feel like quite the entrepreneur.

"I don't feel like I balance it perfectly, ever. I always feel like I am always compromising something. My kids are my priority so as long as they are good and they are happy I kind of figure out everything else. Day to day it's always changing, it's always different. And I do feel like an entrepreneur. I started a company. I put together my team of co-founders. I am there every day. I oversee the vision of the company."

Alba plans to venture out and explore many other opportunities to expand and make money, far beyond Hollywood movies.

"The great thing about The Honest Company is that it's really a lifestyle company. So we can kind of go into any vertical. I am also looking into beauty. I am looking into food. Because if you take these characteristics of really effective, beautifully designed, good for the planet, good for people and affordable you can kind of apply it to any category."

"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" opens in U.S. theaters this Friday.
