DPRK to send 273-member delegation for Asian Games

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will send its first batch of athletes to South Korea next week to take part in this year’s Asian Games. 

The Asian Games’ organizing committee said on Monday that the first group of DPRK participants consists of over 50 people, including the men’s and women’s soccer teams. They are scheduled to arrive in the South Korean city of Incheon on September 11th.

The rest of the athletes will also follow in batches, on the 16th, 19th, 22nd and 28th of September. In total, the DPRK will send a 273-member delegation, which includes 150 athletes who will compete in 14 sports over the 16-day event. The Asian Games will open in Incheon on September 19th.
