Thanks Guanxin, China drew in 8.5 billion US dollars in non-financial foreign direct investment in September. That’s up 1.2 percent from the same time, continuing the momentum from September and MUCH better than August, which was 14% down on last year. --- this shows that investors' confidence about China’s growth outlook remains steady. But looking at the first ten months of 2014, FDI totalled 95 some billion US dollars, down 1.2 percent year on year, but the decline pacenarrowed from the 1.4 percent in the first three quarters of this year.  Within those overall figures, foreign investment in the services sector is maintaining fast growth, totalled 53 billion dollars and up around 6 percent from the first ten months last year. But investment in manufacturing continues to fall, down more than 15 percent from last year to 32 billion US dollars. Now, let’s look at the data from different countries, rising the fastest were South Korea and the United Kingdom. Investment from Japan, the U.S. and the EU all went down significantly from last year.

That's right, outbound direct investment took a turn and was down 12 percent in October, but for the first ten months, outbound investment totalled 82 billion dollars, up close to 18 percent year one year, indicating that Chinese companies' interests in investing abroad and becoming global are still very high.
