Crossover is a cross-cultural lifestyle talk show that celebrates and explores life in China, offering viewers the most up-to-date and newsworthy information told in a lively format.  Ji Xiaojun and Eyee Hsu discuss the most exciting issues of the day. Hot topics in news that feature the best experts in their field, celebrity interviews and general entertainment are all part of Crossover.  From medical and technological innovations to the latest in Chinese design and cuisine to music and pop culture, Crossover aims to uncover the stories that are trending in the world's second largest economy. 

Crossover is broadcast on Saturdays at 22:15 and Sundays at 04:15 Beijing time.

Host:

Ji Xiaojun

Ji Xiaojun is the host of "Crossover" and "ICON".

He joined CCTV in 2000, and has hosted a variety of programmes, including China Today, Sportscene, World Wide Watch, and CCTV News. In 2004, Ji Xiaojun became a host for Culture Express and had been hosting the show since then until 2015, when Ji helped launch a new programme called ICON. The other programme that Ji launched in 2010 and has been hosting since is CROSSOVER.

His voice opened and closed the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. Meanwhile, Ji has also been invited to announce for the opening or closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics in Shanghai (2007), the Paralympics in Beijing (2008), the World Expo in Shanghai (2010), the Asian Games in Guangzhou (2010), the World Universiade in Shenzhen (2011) and the Youth Olympics in Nanjing (2014)).

Acknowledging his efforts and achievements in his work, Ji was awarded "CCTV Anchor/Presenter of the Year" for three times, in 2006, 2010 and 2012. He also won the "Golden Microphone Award" in 2012, the highest national award in broadcasting in China.

On the sidelines of the regular programmes, Ji has also been invited to MC special events or special programmes, including
the annual meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum in Tianjin, the opening ceremony of the Beijing International Film Festival, the closing ceremony of the Bo'ao Forum for Asia, the opening ceremony of China-ASEAN Expo,
and the reception gala for the APEC Summit Meeting in Beijing, to name a few.

Ji graduated with a Master's degree of Business Administration from the University of Nottingham, UK in 1999.
