Luo Ying, Director
Though a newcomer to Crossover, Luo Ying has been working at CCTV for over two decades. In that time she has, as a reporter and director, covered such major historical events as Hong Kong's return to China, Macau's return to China, the World Women's Conference in 1995, the Shanghai APEC Summit in 2001, and the Beijing Olympic Games.
Before joining Crossover, Luo Ying’s regular duties were, first, as an entertainment news reporter and feature programme director, before she moved to the regular My China programme, where she directed documentaries about expatriates who are making their life in China. From documentaries to a talk show, she is enjoying the fresh challenge and relishing the opportunity to bring fascinating guests to the screen in a studio chat-show format.
A graduate of Jilin University with a master’s degree in linguistics, and a visiting scholar at La Trobe University, Luo Ying taught English at North China University of Technology before discovering her passion for television.
