An AirAsia Indonesia flight lost contact with traffic control, on its route from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore.

The name list of the passengers on board Flight QZ 8501 has been released. The names have been on display at the AirAsia Crisis Center post at Juanda airport.

There were 155 passengers and 7 crew on the plane. Among them, 156 are Indonesian, 3 are South Korean, one Malaysian, one from Singapore and one from France. The plane took off from Surabaya at 5:35 Indonesia local time, and disappeared from the radar at 6:17, also Indonesia time.

At this time, search and rescue operations are being conducted under the guidance of the Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority.
