Chinese FM urges parties to push Iran talks into fruition

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has urged all sides to work together to push the Iran nuclear negotiations into fruition.

Wang arrived in Lausanne, Switzerland, Sunday to join the ongoing Iran nuclear talks, and made the remarks during a discussion with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Wang said it is in every party's interests, including those of Iran, to reach a comprehensive agreement, and China will continue efforts to advance the negotiations.

China's Foreign Minister also met with US Secretary of State John Kerry, and his counterparts from the the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia and the European Union.

The foreign ministers from six major countries and Iran are in final efforts to hammer out a framework deal before a March 31 deadline.
