Earlier Mr Li Yong, Vice Chairman of the China Association of International Trade, spoke of the US stance on becoming a founding member of the AIIB.

"I think their positions have changed already. In the beginning they opposed the joining of AIIB by their allies. But the question right now is whether the US is going to join. Their focus is not AIIB, but rather TPP. So we have got to be very careful about this as well," Li said.
