Currently on the fifth leg of its round-the-world tour, it left Mandalay in Myanmar early Sunday morning and is expected to land in the Chinese municipality of Chongqing after a 19-hour flight.

This is the first round-the-world attempt by a solar-powered plane. It has been 20 days since the venture got under way from Abu Dhabi.

The Swiss funded project is expected to circle the globe in a total of 12 legs. It will return to the Emirate in a few months' time.
