Chinese deputy premier Wang Yang has met US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew in Beijing.
Wang Yang expressed the hope that both sides can seriously implement the consensus reached between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Barack Obama.
President Xi will visit the US in September. Wang called on the two countries to work together to secure a successful visit. He also called on deepening cooperation in climate change and new energy. He said the two sides should manage the differences and concentrate in common interests to guarantee stable and healthy economic ties between China and the US.
Lew echoed Wang's words, saying the US is willing to enhance cooperation and coordination, as well as prepare for Xi Jinping's upcoming visit.
