And Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying was asked to comment on the bank at a regular press conference today.

"I want to stress that the establishment of the AIIB is a constructive move by China to shoulder more international responsibilities and supplement the current global economic order. It is also a beneficial complement to existing multilateral development banks. It is a proposal that can benefit all countries in the world. We have underlined many times that the AIIB is an open and inclusive multilateral development institution. We welcome all countries that are interested in joining. China is willing to work with all parties to make the AIIB an efficient and professional financing platform for infrastructure construction in Asia that leads to win-win outcomes," she said.
