Full coverage: 8.1-Magnitude Quake Hits Central Nepal

Earthquake survivors in Nepal are trying to return some normalcy to their lives, fifteen days after a massive earthquake brought down buildings and killed thousands of people. In Kathmandu, Durbar Square was filled with activity on Sunday.

Stalls opened up alongside the large piles of rubble, with residents picking their way through flowers and carts filled with goods. On April 25, a devastating earthquake flattened towns and villages across central Nepal. It killed more than 7,900 people and more than twice that number were injured.

More than 540 thousand buildings damaged. The government said the cost of the first phase of reconstruction would be 2 billion US dollars and that it had set aside 200 million dollars towards that.
