In neighbouring China, the powerful aftershock has jolted the southern part of Tibet, causing landslides, damaging roads and killing at least one person. The victim was in a car that was hit by falling rocks in Gyirong township.

Rescuers recorded multiple landslides on their way to save other passengers in the car. The road in Gyirong township that was hit by landslides has now been repaired. But the landslides cut the road again connecting Zham township, Nyalam County, which had just been repaired after it was damaged by the huge earthquake last month.

In Nyalam, power was cut off and three houses collapsed. The devastating 8.1-magnitude quake on April 25 claimed more than 8,000 lives in Nepal, and left 26 dead in Tibet.
