05-20-2015 11:14 BJT

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea cancels its earlier approval of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's Thursday visit to the Kaesong Industrial Complex.

Ban is in South Korea to attend the World Education Forum that kicked off Tuesday. He said it was very regrettable, as the visit was agreed to by both South Korea and the DPRK.

The UN chief says he will continue efforts to establish peace on the Korean Peninsula in cooperation with the international community.
