Sharif said his country supports China's Belt and Road Initiative, as well as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Silk Road Fund.  He said Pakistan will vigorously participate in the cooperation.

While meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Xi Jinping reviewed the past progress in cooperation.  He promised to enlarge all-level exchanges and deepen understanding between the two sides.

He said China appreciates Afghanistan's support for the Belt and Road Initiative, and welcomes Afghanistan's participation.
The Chinese president said to intensify security cooperation serves both countries' interests.  He said China is willing to provide support in security facility, technology and personnel training.

Xi Jinping said a broad and inclusive national reconciliation is the only way to achieve a peace process in Afghanistan.
He said China will work all parties to play a constructive role in the process.

Ashraf Ghani said Afghanistan is willing to further deepen the traditional friendship with China.  He said his country welcomes Chinese investment in infrastructure.

Xi Jinping also met with Uzbek President Islam Karimov. The Chinese president said the precious cooperation has benefited the peoples of both countries.

He called on both sides to continue close cooperation to build a community that shares common interests and destiny. That includes intensifying cooperation in development strategy and projects in establishing the Silk Road Economic Belt.

Uzbekistan will take over the rotating presidency of the SCO from Russia. Xi Jinping said China will give full support to Uzbekistan to promote closer ties, and more pragmatic cooperation in the SCO framework.

Karimov thanked for China's long-standing support and assistance.  He promised Uzbekistan's cooperation and coordination with China in the SCO.
