Chinese designer wins accessories award

A Chinese designer has won the International Talent Support Award for Fashion Accessories. In Trieste, Italy, on Saturday night, Bianca Chong was recognized for her beautifully crafted range of bags and shared the award with Austrian Isabel Helf.

This year's competition received 700 entries from fashion-design students around the world. These were distilled into 10 finalists in each of four sections - Fashion, Jewelry, Accessories, and Artwork. The Fashion category was won by German Paula Knorr. 

The ITS project, now in its 14th year, aims at matching emerging talent from art and design schools with the fashion industry. In all, 260 young designers have received support and visibility through ITS.
