Chinese netizens' favorite topic for discussion revolves around the fruitful outcome of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s United Kingdom visit.

On October 24, Xi concluded his state visit to the UK and returned to Beijing. He opened a golden era to build a Sino-British global comprehensive strategic partnership, which is hailed as a super state visit.

William Lau, a netizen of Overseas Chinese Friends of "Overseas Chinese Friends" said, Xi made the first state visit to the UK by a Chinese President this decade.

The UK also established a new government, thus the visit is of great significance for Sino-British relations and received much attention around the world.

2015 marks the first year of the Second Decade of building a Sino-British comprehensive strategic partnership. The visit played a connecting role that outlines a blueprint for this decade.

It's hailed as a milestone for Sino-British diplomacy. On October 21, the formal meeting between President Xi and Great Britain Prime Minister David Cameron boosted Sino-British relations for the 21st century.

Xi's UK visit will promote Sino-British economic and cultural exchanges, and enhance mutual understanding. President Xi said in his speech to the British Parliament that China and the UK is becoming a community of shared common interests.

The UK had invaded China, exported dangerous drugs to the country, and caused  tragedies to the Chinese in history. Nevertheless, London held a grand ceremony, rolling out the red carpet to welcome the Chinese President.

Beijing and London signed a slew of economic, trade and cultural agreements worth about 40 billion pounds (about 61.7 billion U.S. Dollars), as a highlight of the trip.

Although London's overtures to Beijing make Washington uncomfortable, there is an undeniable fact that interactions between China and the UK embody China's growing strength in the global arena from one aspect.

China will launch intensive communications among top leaders with France and Germany. After Xi's UK visit, German Chancellor Angela Merkel is going to visit China on October 29-30. French President Francois Hollande is scheduled to visit Beijing in November.

These meetings reflect China's welcoming strategy with Europe. China hopes to see an united Europe with strong development. Meanwhile, Europe has supported China's reforms, development and prosperity.

China is on the rise. By 2030, China's economy is expected to double the size of America's GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

Will the UK or other countries ignore that? A majority of countries are turning their eyes towards China, just as they had paid much attention to the US during its prime years.
