Full coverage: President Xi Attends G20, APEC Summits

The ministerial meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings has opened in Manila, the Philippines. The APEC Economic Leader's Meeting will be held in Manila from Wednesday to Thursday. 

World leaders including US President Barack Obama, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will attend. President Xi will fly to Manila after he completes his agenda at the G20 summit in Turkey. 

APEC accounts for 60 percent of global output and nearly half of world trade. It is aiming for a larger free-trade area for its 21 economies by 2025.
