Deep-rooted reasons for US' "endless" military adventurism in the Middle East

The United States and Russia appear to take competitive military actions in the Middle East to attack ISIS. Moscow will not be involved there for long, but it is different for Washington, whose forces have not been withdrawn from there since the World War II. US' military adventurism in the Middle East can be attributed to deep-rooted reasons.

Turmoil in the Middle East drives US weapon exports higher to sustain economic development. With the economy driven by a massive armament industry, the US depends on weapons exports.

Due to conflicts in the Middle East, Washington is more likely to make a stir to encourage more countries to purchase US weapons. When they take precautions against each other, US armaments will flood into the Middle East.

Take Iraq's invasion in Kuwait for example, not only Saudi Arabia, but also other countries of the Middle East had bought a large amount of US weapons. The trend continued even after the end of the Gulf War, which stimulated the US economy. It has become the routine approach to wake up a weak economy by stirring up trouble in the Middle East.

Additionally, Washington wants to win favor with the European Union (EU) amidst turmoil in the Middle East. Although many European countries are attracted to NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), they try to be detached from US influence.

If European countries have strong independent defense forces, American hegemony will be undermined and the US worries about that.

America puts much effort into the Middle East, while making strife in Eastern Europe where it's near Russia. Middle East turmoil directly relates to European security with Western Europe particularly exposed to the Syria refugee crisis. Hence, the US can tightly draw in its EU allies, forcing them to rely on Washington to expand NATO eastward.

The US intends to  create obstacles to China's "Belt and Road Initiative." With a goal to rejuvenate the Chinese nation, Beijing is carrying out the initiative to drive national strength with the principles of peace and common development.

Due to US hegemony pivoting to Asia, Washington has adopted a containment policy on the Belt and Road initiative, which makes Beijing adjust its priorities on the development route to Europe.

If China cooperates with Europe in a positive manner, Beijing's strength will help Europeans detach away from US influence. It is a strategic option for America to put on the "brake" on the Chinese development and restraining the China-Europe relationship.

Turmoil in the Middle East does impact the Belt and Road Initiative and causes troubles for cooperation between China and Europe, which is a deep-rooted reason why America stirs up problems in the Middle East.

Predictably, America will not withdraw from the Middle East anytime soon, where the unrest will continue on endlessly.
