China has pledged to do its part for a better climate future. The country has committed to cutting carbon emissions by 60 to 65 percent by 2030 from 2005 levels, and bump up its renewable and nuclear energy use by 20 percent. China has also announced a three-billion-US-dollar fund to help developing countries address the challenges posed by climate change.

International experts have praised these moves. CCTV spoke with Pakistani environment analyst Kashif Hameed, who said Pakistan values climate cooperation with China to tackle climate change issues.

"At the same time I would like to mention the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The majority of the projects are in energy sector. So we are expecting some clean energy mechanism and some energy efficient technologies, and measures to be taken in connection," Hameed said.
