Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi says the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, is a historical event with milestone achievements. He further elaborated on the 10-point cooperation plan proposed by President Xi.

"Why has the 10-point plan attracted so much attention? First of all, it is because the plan is in line with the development of the African continent. It has reflected the urgent needs of the African people. And it has also led the trend of the world's development. Through the implementation of the plan, China will help Africa resolve its long-term troubles, such as unemployment, food and clothing, and medical care," Wang said.

"China will also help Africa overcome its three major development bottleneck: lack of infrastructure construction, talent and funds. Generally speaking, we will help Africa enhance its ability of independent and sustainable development, and help it become an independent power in the world, gaining both political and economic strength."
