Tuesday's terror attacks at the Brussels airport and subway killed over 30 and injured 270. The city is on its highest alert.

Tourism in Brussels is experiencing a gloomy period after the explosions on Tuesday. Local restaurant and stores say their sales have dropped obviously.

Brussels' tourism sector had only just begun to recover from a tough winter following a five-day security lockdown in November, when Brussels feared an attack similar to the Paris assault that killed 130 people. The incident on Tuesday gave a fatal blow to the sector.

Security has tightened at European airports, and countries including the US, Australia, Canada, and the Philippines have all issued warnings to their citizens who plan to travel to the area.
