Spain Week starts in Expo Site

Flamenco dances, a delicious cuisine carnival, a Spanish brand exhibit and other activities will be included in a Spanish Week that kicked off on August 27th, 2010.

Pau Gasol, Los Angeles Lakers basketball star and United Nations Children's Fund's goodwill ambassador in Spain.

The Spanish week will go from August 27 to September 5 with the Spain Pavilion's National Pavilion Day falling on August 31.

The week’s activities will also include forums, a road show and a Grandmaster Chess Tournament. A Spanish ballet troupe will perform at the Expo Centre on August 31.

The Grandmaster Chess Tournament will be held at the Spain Pavilion. Small concerts and photo exhibitions will be held at the Madrid Pavilion in Urban Best Practices Area.
