CCTV well-know anchors successively engaged in public service activities after work. Li Ruiying, Kang Hui and Lang Yongchun, anchors of CCTV News, Lu Jian, anchor of Focus Today, Lu Yiming, anchor of Observation in Morality were also present at the public service advertisement launching ceremony where they expressed their wishes to participate CCTV pubic advertisements and told stories about their involvement of public service activities.

Li Ruiying: Help the Deaf Students and Spread Love

On public welfare party themed on “Fulfill Dreams in 2008” of Focus On broadcast by CCTV on Oct. 20, 2008, Li Ruiying and Zhao Pu auctioned their kept Olympic torches “Lucky Cloud” and reached a deal of RMB 3 million, which totally used for improving the sports facilities for rural primary school in poor areas. Li Ruiying also established relationships for mutual assistance with many Schools for Deaf-Mutes and donated money for many times. She visited these deaf and mute students regularly with colleagues and filmed public service ads for them.

Kang Hui: Ambassador of Love for CMDP

Served as a volunteer of Asian Games, Kang Hui also volunteered his service in Cord Blood Bank of the Red Cross Society of China where he mainly answering calls. As a love ambassador of China Marrow Donor Program (CMDP), Kang Hui offered his blood sample for matching patients with leukemia. If there is a successful match, he will donate his hematopoietic stem cell at any time.

Lang Yongchun: Honorary Principal of Suining Special-Education School

Since 2004, Lang Yongchuan began to serve as an honorary principal of Suining Special-Education School in Jiangsu province. He raised money for school’s newly-built buildings due to move and donated money for Wuhai Mayor’s Education Assistance Fund. In addition, he also took part in many soccer games with the soccer team consisting of CCTV anchors for donations.
