The A380 airline passed through the “beautiful water gate”

In order to celebrate the A380’s first flight to Beijing, Beijing International Capital Airport held a traditional water salute welcome ceremony. A beautiful water gate was formed by giant water columns spouted by two fire trucks. The airliner passed through the water gate and slowly arrived at the aircraft parking bay.

The airliner has 163 more seats

The A380, which has 517 seats, began flying the existing EK306/307 air route from August 1st, namely the air route between Dubai and Beijing.

“The passenger occupancy rate for the flight between Dubai and Beijing is at nearly 90 percent in July, August and September, so we decided to use the A380 to replace the primary B777-300ER aircraft,” said a senior vice president of Emirates Airlines. 163 seats were added and the capacity increased nearly 5 percent for the A380.
