Shanghai has a rich collection of buildings and structures of various architectural styles. Despite rampant redevelopment in recent years, a large number of architecturally distinctive, even eccentric, skyscrapers have sprung up, the old city still retains some buildings of a traditional style.
Shanghai is unique since most of the old buildings reflects the unique history when foreign traders enters China and build their own style of building. A centuary past and the building was still there, reminding us of the old passing times.

The trek begins in ancient times and takes you to the present. You can see many interesting items including, ship models, art treasures and other objects. There is nothing else like it in China, since this is the one and only maritime museum in the country.
You will find many different scenes in the park, such as "Nanjing Road in the 30´s","Shanghai traditional houses", "European style architec-ture", "Suzhou Creek", "Church", "Lake and mountain area", large soundstages, costume and prop ware-house, film library, screening rooms.
Originally built in 1882, the Jade Buddha Temple lies approximately 3.5 km northwest of the city. It houses two jade statues of Buddha that Monk Huigen brought back from his travels to Burma. These two rare cultural relics are exemplary specimens of porcelain and white jade artistry.
