Saudi Arabia recalls ambassador to Syria, denouncing violence

Saudi Arabia has recalled its ambassador to Syria for consultations, King Abdullah said in a statement on Sunday, in response to the violence in Syria.

The Saudi King says what is happening in Syria is unacceptable and demanded an end to the bloodshed in country. Abdullah pointed out that Syrian authorities are capable of implementing comprehensive and quick reforms, and that they should be achieved in reality not covered by false promises.

The King said this will be the only choice to prevent Syria being pulled down into deeper chaos.
