CPC senior official meets Nepalease officials

Zhou Yongkang, a senior official of the Communist Party of China, has met with the Nepalease deputy prime minister and foreign minister Upendra Yadav, as well as other leaders of the country's major political parties, in the capital Kathmandu.

During his meeting with Yadav on Tuesday, Zhou spoke highly of the progress in China-Nepal relations since diplomatic ties were established in 1955. He also stressed that his visit, aims to enhance mutual trust, promote friendship and expand cooperation.

Meanwhile, Yadav said Nepal upholds the one-China policy and that his country is proud of what China has achieved.

When meeting with the Chairman of the Unified Communist party of Nepal Prachandra, Zhou hailed the strong relationship between their party and China's CPC. He also stated, that he believes the UCPN will work to promote Nepal's constitutional process.
