In the wake of another e-mail warning of an impending attack, Indian police have stepped up security at major airports across the country in a nationwide alert.

The e-mail reminded many of the high-intensity blast that occurred outside the High court in the national capital on September 7th.

According to reports, the Intelligence Bureau has issued a warning of a possible terror attack at Chatrapti Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai city. It comes six days after the explosion in New Delhi which killed 13 people.

Extra security personnel have been deployed at sensitive places including shopping malls, metro stations, railway stations, airport and markets.

Precautionary measures are being taken in view of the threat ahead of the third anniversary of the September 13th, 2008 blasts, that claimed over 20 lives.
