Several rockets have been fired across the border between Lebanon and Israel. Israel says two buildings in Israel's Ga-li-lee region were damaged in the attack Tuesday morning, but there were no reports of casualties.

The Lebanese army says rocket launchers were found close to the southern border. They say Israel responded to the attack by firing four artillery shells.

The UN Interim Force in Lebanon said in a statement the incident is clearly directed at undermining stability in the area and is in violation of UN Security Council resolution.

The UN military commander says the peacekeeping mission is in close contact with relevant parties and has called for calm.

Lebanon and Israel forces last clashed back in August.
