Pakistani officials say the deadliest blast in the country in several months has taken place in a market near the Afghan border. The bomb explosion targeted a pro-government militia against the Pakistani Taliban, killing 25 and wounding 24.

Officials say the explosion was likely detonated by remote control to hit the militia's vehicles in the Khyber region. Many such bloody bombings are against militias or their families.
