Senior CPC leader He Guoqiang meets major Russian political parties leaders

Visiting senior leader of the Communist Party of China He Guo-qiang has met with leaders of Russia’s major political parties on strengthening inter-party cooperation in Moscow.

In his meeting with Lyudmila Shvetsova from the United Russia Party, He Guo-qiang said the United Russia party has played an important role in maintaining stability in the country, developing the economy, and improving people’s living standard. He added that recent years have witnessed fruitful achievements in the relations between the CPC and United Russia.

Shvet-sova expressed hopes of furthering exchanges. He Guo-qiang also held talks with Russia's Communist Party’s Ivan Mel-ni-kov, pledging to push ties to a new level. And Mel-ni-kov said his party will actively implement cooperation agreements with the CPC to boost inter-party relations. After his visit to Moscow, He Guo-qiang arrived in St. Petersburg where he met with the chairman of the city’s legislative assembly Vya-ches-lav Ma-karov, on regional cooperation between the two countries.
