China beats Turkey 3-1 in women's volleyball

In women's volleyball, China took a stride towards the quarter-finals today, beating Turkey 3-1.

The Chinese women won gold in 2004 and bronze four years later in Beijing. China beat Serbia 3-1 in their opening match on Saturday with injured key hitter Wang Yimei returned to court. Turkey, however, had a bitter loss to defending champions Brazil in a five-set thriller.

Besides Serbia, China will play in the pool in London along with defending champion Brazil, world's Number One U.S. and South Korea.
