UN says that more than 2.5 million people are "in great need" of humanitarian assistance and protection inside Syria. They in-particular pointed to a demand for water, sanitation, food, shelter, blankets and healthcare. Full Story>>

For more on the UN meeting on Syria , we are joined on the line by CCTV correspondent Nathan King in New York.

Q1: We know that "humanitarian assistance" is a key topic in the meeting. So has anything been decided about that?

Q2: The Western countries have not ruled out intervention in Syria. So what has been the reaction from the meeting about this?
