Pakistan supports China on S. China Sea and Diaoyu Islands

The fifth China-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue has ended in Beijing. The two sides made positive comments on the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries and voiced support for each other.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying said China will consistently support Pakistan’s efforts to safeguard its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.

Pakistani Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani reiterated his country’s unwavering support on issues related to China’s core interests. He expressed Pakistan’s support for China’s stance on the South China Sea issue and the Diaoyu Islands issue.

Both sides are aiming to promote cooperation in sectors including trade, investment, energy, education and culture.
