Israeli war jets have carried out four successive airstrikes on various targets in the Gaza Strip, leaving at least one militant dead and three others wounded.

F16 warplanes and reconnaissance drones hovered over the Gaza Strip and several explosions were heard on Saturday. A training post for militants in the south of Gaza city was hit by an Israeli missile, while a rocket launcher was hit in the northwest of the Gaza Strip and a further training post in the north was struck.

The air strikes come after an anti-tank missile hit an Israeli army jeep, wounding four soldiers earlier on Saturday. Four Palestinians were then killed and more than 30 others wounded in the Israeli retaliative attack immediately after the ambush on the jeep.
