In the piece posted on his Ministry's website, and in the Washington Post, Xie argues that the two big economic powers should find common ground in confronting risks from Europe. He writes that risks from sovereign debt are currently increasing instability factors in the course of the global economic recovery. The Finance Minister adds that China and the US must "each protect macro-economic stability and strengthen macro-economic policy coordination, to consolidate the trend towards global economic recovery."
