Preparing meeting for 5th ECFA talks to be held in Taipei

A preparatory meeting for the fifth Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement talks between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, is scheduled to be held tomorrow (Thursday) in The Grand Hotel Taipei.

The time, place, and relevant arrangements for the 5th round of talks will be finalised at the meeting. Taiwan is hosting an information session on Friday, for 400 authorities from local manufacturing and finance sectors, as well as other industries.

The most debated element of the ECFA has been the early harvest programme. The details are expected to be confirmed on Thursday morning, and released to the public online. Taiwan officials have pointed out the final ECFA signing will happen on July 4th.
